Norway Spruce is a tall, pyramidal conifer native to northern and central Europe. It has a distinctive look, with small branchlets that hang down below the main branches. As a conservation species, it is used mostly as a windbreak, because it retains its branches all the way to the ground. It is also used for timber harvesting. Norway Spruce is a medium-to-fast growing tree with dark green needles and prominent, dangling cones.
