Eastern White Pine was the monarch of U.P. forests when early settlers arrived, but was heavily logged. In the last 100 years, their progeny can be seen as the tallest tree species in the landscape, with its tiered, upswept branching pattern setting it apart. White Pines are fast-growing and long-lived.

CAUTION: White Pines are drought-sensitive.
